Saturday 13 and 20 Deecember I will be playing with the Artis Dulcedo orchestra. This time, I will be playing the bass clarinet during the Fantasy Concerto of Philip Glass - that wonderful piece for two busy timpanist...there are 14 timpanies on stage!
The first concert will take place at Sint-Franciscuskerk - K. Van Manderstraat - Sint-Kruis, Brugge, and the last one at the Cultuurfabriek Sijsele - Stationsstraat 22 - Sijsele.
More details can be found in this page. This amateur orchestra is doing a great job, and offering exquisit music to the audience. This is a sign of the healthy music life in Belgium.
Last November I visited Peru, where I spent a wonderful time with all my family. I also saw some school friends that I haven't seen in 18 years - but a truly surprise was the Golden Chaski.
During the last day of the Juegos Florales organized by the Peruvian Ministry of Education, I had the great honour to received a Golden Chaski, a special distinction given by the Ministry in recognition of my musical career and my work with Clariperu.
I cannot express enough how happy I feel to receive the Chaski, and how this will encourage me to go on in my profession. I'm the first Peruvian clarinettist to receive a recognition by the Peruvian government!
Thanks to all my family and friends for their constant support. I share this price with each of them.

The 4th and 5th of December I will be joining the Gent University Symphonic Orchestra (GUSO). This enthusiastic orchestra will perform a very nice program: The Noonday Witch (A. Dvorak), Concerto for saxophone quartet and orchestra (P. Glass) and Pictures of an Exhibitions (M. Moessorgski).
The concert will take place at the Bijloke concert hall. All the details about the concerts can be read in the flyer above.
Those concerts promise to be fun!
